Our Expert Adviser Ian Lindsay spoke at the Transit-Oriented Development Conference in Ho Chi Minh City, hosted by the People’s Committee and People’s Council of Ho Chi Minh City, as part of the UK Government’s Green Cities, Infrastructure and Energy Programme.
Over two days, Ian delivered presentations on international best practice in TOD and how to deliver joint development as well as joining two panel discussions alongside senior Vietnamese and international experts.
The conference followed the adoption of a landmark resolution by the People’s Councilto accelerate TOD planning and support investment in the city’s growing metro system.
This comes hot on the heels of our recent TOD work in the Philippines, where GCIEP is supporting the Department of Transportation and the Department of Education on the pioneering SEED project in Manila.
We were delighted to share UK expertise and demonstrate how TOD can help unlock sustainable, inclusive growth in Ho Chi Minh City and across the region.
