Over the past few months, Crossrail International has been supporting integrated and sustainable urban mobility in East Java through the Green Cities, Infrastructure and Energy Programme (GCIEP).
Working closely with the local GCIEP team, Arnab Banerjee led the development of a Project Development Plan (PDP), setting out practical principles to support structured and effective delivery of complex transport programmes. This was developed alongside a Project Routemap review led by Mott MacDonald, and aligned with ongoing work to establish an Integrated Transport Company supported by Transport for London.

We also delivered a knowledge transfer session in Surabaya on 12 March 2026, bringing together representatives from the Ministry of Transport and local East Java authorities. The session focused on sharing practical experience and approaches to support delivery and long-term capability.
A strong example of collaborative working across partners, with a clear focus on practical implementation and lasting impact.
