Crossrail’s legacy expert Simon Bennett joins CI

LONDON, UK

 Crossrail International (CI) is delighted to welcome Simon Bennett as Associate Director and Expert Adviser, Stakeholder Engagement and Learning Legacy.

Simon joins CI from Crossrail Limited following the successful opening of London’s newest railway, the Elizabeth line. His involvement in the project spanned more than 20 years from programme initiation through construction, to most recently developing, delivering and managing the Crossrail Learning Legacy, a unique collation and dissemination of good practice, innovation and lessons learned from the Crossrail programme aimed at raising the bar in industry and showcasing UK PLC.

 

A civil engineer, transport planner and communications professional, Simon has over 25 years of experience in the UK rail sector.

“We are delighted to welcome Simon to our team,” said Paul Dyson, CI’s Chief Executive Officer. “His in-depth knowledge of the Crossrail programme is an invaluable asset in support of Crossrail International’s strategic advisory proposition throughout the world.”

Simon holds a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering from the University of Hertfordshire. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, and an Associate Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
