Martin Rowark FICE FRICS is one of the world’s leading authorities on procurement and supply chain management. With more than 30 years of construction industry experience, his impressive track record of accomplishment is based on working for large public and private sector organisations on some of the UK’s most high-profile megaprojects, notably Crossrail’s Elizabeth Line, a world-class railway for London and the South East and currently Europe’s largest and most complex transportation programme; London 2012 Summer Olympics; and Transport for London’s New Tube for London Programme.

Martin steered the drafting of the Procurement Align for Success module of the Infrastructure and Projects Authority’s (IPA’s) Project Initiation Route Map which has seen wide industry adoption. He is now an accredited Assurance Reviewer for the IPA, reviewing the UK Government’s most complex and high-risk projects.

Earlier in his career, Martin was a Partner at Davis Langdon (now part of AECOM), and Head of Contract and Supply (Southern Zone) for Railtrack. He has also consulted for The Nichols Group.

In recent years, Martin has presented major UK infrastructure project good practice to government agencies, major public and private sector organisations, and visiting delegations in over 25 countries.

He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and holds a RICS-accredited Diploma in Surveying from the University College of Estate Management, Reading, UK.
