Rebecca Venn is a founding member of Crossrail International, joining in September 2017. She is now CI’s Regional Director for Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
A fluent Spanish speaker, Rebecca leads the company’s operations and business development activities throughout the Latin American and Caribbean regions and also heads the company’s commercial interaction with UK Government stakeholders, including Infrastructure Exports: UK (IE:UK), the Cabinet Office, Department for International Trade (DIT), Department for Transport (DfT), and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO).
Rebecca has seven years of strategic, commercial, financial and management advisory experience working with multiple UK Government departments. She commenced her career at the Department for Transport (DfT) where she was involved in several high-profile projects, including the London 2012 Olympics and High Speed 2 (HS2). She also served as Rail and HS2 Private Secretary to the DfT’s Permanent Secretary.
Rebecca graduated with a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages: Spanish with Italian from Durham University and completed a course in Hispanic Studies at the Universidad de Granada in Spain, studying in Spanish.
She has recently concluded her Management Accounting Qualification with CIMA, placed second globally, and is compiling her experience portfolio for full chartership. Rebecca also holds an Association for Project Management (APM) Practitioner Qualification (PQ).
